What a hideous day here in Chicago -- foggy and drizzly. Yuk! Going out to get some more paint I think to finish off the upstairs -- I got this really nice creamsicle orange for the living room -- and I need to get things to match. Going to get some posters framed too and then have breakfast with Nanner....

Well, parents are off, Hannah has the flu and I am totally exhausted. Sigh. Today will be a day of rest and more rest. Followed by rest!

Another tiring day...man I will be glad when the house is empty. Company is nice yet tiring...
So tired...cleaned all last night...Hannah made curtains...painted the rest of the upstairs woodwork...so tired...

So, my 'rents are going to visit me for the first time EVER here in Chicago. In like 9 years. Hannah and I are excited (my 'rents love her/she loves my 'rents) but there is a lot of cleaning to be done. What to do with these piles of orange shorts?

All right: Today is clean up day. Going to get our flu shots, change driver's licenses, put the baseboard up in the bathroom (yeah, I spaced on that yesterday), go to the Home Despot (quite unlike our despotic government, I fear), do some painting and if we're good, enjoy the orange short-free 10 cent wing night down the street. woo hoo!

Hannah is painting a picture of Leia as the Virgin mary right now; I am busy reading the paper. After coffee, I think I'll go put the baseboard up in the bathroom. Excitement city here in the metropolis of the Midwest. Can't decide whether or not to throw out these orange shorts.
