Vancouver was wonderful. Got to spend lots of time with Lavonne, walking the city and going to photo shoots. We saw lots Meshell and Pirate, who are angels. The four of us went out for dinner a couple of times - such good food and good company.

I thought a lot about moving to Vancouver while I was there. I won't leave Calgary for a couple of years, but I'll take more trips to Vancouver and start laying the groundwork for a painting practice there.

On the sixteenth of October, I'll be donating a similar painting to the Art Gallery of Calgary for Masterpiece, which is a fundraiser to benefit the gallery. My work will be shown along with an artist's proof by Judy Chicago, and paintings by Tim Okamura and Mark Mullin. I'll also be making a live performance painting on a stage at the Gallery that night. So exciting.
