I made it to Vancouver, though without my motorcycle. There was an all-day effort on Wednesday to prepare the bike for the trip, and though we got it running and I took it for a test drive, there were too many small issues - carburation, and a couple electrical things, and a leak at the seal behind the ignition - to get it solid enough for a ride over the mountains.

I'm a little disappointed about missing my ride to the west coast, but waiting will be worth it. The bored out engine (836cc instead of 734cc) sounds amazing with the four into one exhaust, and the bike is much faster than the CB I just sold.

Well, as Lavonne just said, almost no one wants to read about my motorcycle. The positive side Is that I'm sitting with Meshell, Pirate and Lavonne, drinking good, cheap red wine and planning a solid weekend of debauchery. We're going to make the most of a week off in Vancouver.

Today, I received more good news from my curator in Calgary, which means that I'll be busy making paintings when I get home. "Make the most of your time off, it's about to get crazy for you", she said, so I will.
