Drumming one last time.....

I thought about selling my drum kit maninly cause i'm not playing on it and it has been sitting in my exercise room next to the tredmill , not since around Octorber 09 have i played them, i just have not felt the need for it so i decided to sell them . Since i put in over 3500 bucks in them i thought i would for around 2000 but i know i'm dreaming there, but the other day i was going to take them down just so if someone wanted them they would be ready to be taken away and that would be that but it hit me that it took me so long to get these drums and play again, i know my band days are over but why should i give what i used to love so much doing, i know i can work around my nerve damage and maybe regain some confidence in playing again and not worry about what others may think. So i just statrted playing some easy song to get my groove back and see where it takes and for the first time in a long time i felt good playing again, but first i had to arrange a few things on it to make it easier to play on not have such i mess of everything so after 5 hours of rearranging and retightning everything they were ready to feel great, i took one piece away but may put it back on soon to make it a 5 piece again but as i said for the first time in a long time it felt good to actually just play drums again and now i know i still have a run left with them. I know now it would been the biggest mistake for me to get rid of them now and if i did i would have hated myself for it for a very long time but still i will take it easy and just see where it all takes me oh yeah and the main reason i did stay off them for a good while was cause i was using my broken foot as a excuse not to play, my foot is slowly getting better and i'm watching that even more closely and not double bass play at least for a little while (ha ha ha) Well hope everyone enjoys the week ahead, i'll be retuning my drums cause they sound terrible but not for long, take care pees
This is my drumkit before i fixed a few things on it to make it more easier to play, was taken about 5 months ago just before all that crap with my ........................................i'm not going to go there. but i like the color cause it was different.
