I have decided that I moan entirely too much about my life. So here is a cheerful entry, about happy things.
*Today I won 50 on the grand national, and used the money to pay for my dad to go skiing at the sno-dome in Milton Keynes. He looked like he had a good time, so that made me happy.
*I managed to get my brother two tickets to see Madonna, so he's pretty happy. Hopefully he'll get the money off his boyfriend tonight, and I won't be out of pocket for too long
*Reading Festival tickets are on sale, and as soon as I have the money off my brother, I'll be purchasing mine. 5th year in a row, baybee, and the line up this year looks pretty fucking good, apart from 50 cent.
*(editors note:this one's a bit muso) I got a half rack Boss overdrive/distortion unit the other day, and it's pretty good. The sound's a bit gratey, but hopefully I can even it out with some compression. It's mainly gonna be used for the really really heavy parts of my songs, where I've got 3 distortion units all going, and a signal booster. Plus it gets some pretty good feedback if you pull right back on the volume and crank the gain. Like I said, the sound is a bit harsh, but it evens out a lot with some flange, or reverb.
*I've nearly finished my lounge music, light jazz version of Dead Kennedys' Holiday in Cambodia. Just need a free day with no-one in the house so I can record the vocals, which promises to be a laugh.

Would Esquivel be proud of this version of Holiday In Cambodia? If so then I'd like to hear it when it's finished.
Who did you bet on in the Grand National? Bindaree was brought down on the 6th fence so I switched it off as soon as the race finished.
I wasn't really overly impressed with the Reading line up myself , but I guess it could get better . At the moment im thinking of just going down for the saturday as I like Morrisey and Franz Ferdinand ..and I wouldn't mind seeing the stripes either.
