Never fear, Jakeypooh is here!!!
It's been a very long three weeks without the internet and cable. I'll never take them for granted ever again. For a while.
How's everyone been doing? Some crazy stuff has happenend since the last post. First and Foremost, Meaney's Son was born!!! He is pretty amazing, and Minimeaney has become very protective of him. In an act of complete selflessness, I LOANED his son my favorite teddy bear and good friend, Willem. Mind you, this is a loan. Depending on slobber damage and neglect, the tenure could last 2 to 5 years. Upon which time, JakeyPooh will reunite with Willem once again.
Ok, to play catch up - here's whats gone on in my life in the past month.
I got beer bottles thrown at my face by a cross dresser.
I moved into my new place- and it's freaking incredible. Come visit me. It's a palace.
I fractured my big toe. It did NOT feel very good.
I inherited a Sweet Rhodes Mark I Stage Piano. Now i have to learn how to properly play it.
I put out an album : "Tomorrow" by Pinfeather. At the moment, Pinfeather consists of myself. And once i get the cloning thing down, i'll have more members. Two of my songs were actually played on the radio last night - so that's pretty awesome. My buddy jim who works at the radio station wants me to do an in-studio acoustic session in a week. I can't wait.
At my lame random job that i do 2 days out of the week, I actually met the wife of the singer of the Smoking Popes!!! And guess what?! She said she'd be back in a couple weeks to pick up a copy of "Tomorrow" to give to her Husband! The Popes are gonna hear me! i'm pretty jazzed.
Last Saturday was the 2 year anniversary of my good friend Caroline passing away. It was nice to go visit, although kinda rough. It's starting to get easier to control the grief and embrace her life now, which is a blessing. I hope to strive to be as good of a friend to everyone i know as she was. It was also cool because that was the day i met Meaney's son. The whole cycle of life thing was pretty prevalent.
So yea, that's it. I'm still looking for a job, a foxy short girl who bites her bottom lip, and a record deal, but you know - I can't complain. It's good to be back, and it'll be great to talk to you all again!!!
