Today I find myself in a rare situation; feeling especially good about what I do for a living and (rather embarrassingly) oddly proud of myself.
Two nights back I operated all the video cues and feeds on the RSC's production of The Merchant of Venice. Yesterday was a mess of activity of other sorts so the magnitude (for me at least) of what I had done hadn't quite sunk in.

But I did it. I OP'ed the show.
All on my own.
With a thousand (approx) people watching.
Holy shit.

Now I have never done anything like this before, the closest I had got to it was showing a group of 250 kids and counsellors of a summer camp in Oxford the 10minute video I had made showing them all having the time of their lives and smiling and all that bollocks.
I'm not too proud to admit that I was shitting myself about 5minutes before curtains up.

But it seems it was all for nothing as the show (my end at least) went off without a hitch and no one had a complaint to share about the video. Thank goodness.

So all in all I feel quite pleased with myself and what I do. Makes a change haha
