Wow, this feels good to say after a year of stress and turmoil.

My company is officially closing its doors. Two partners left last week, and myself and my remaining partner have agreed to shut down and cease by the end of the month.

For the first time in my life, I'm on a job search. My other occupations have come from referrals and didn't require an interview or any competition for the position. I may very well be in the same position again once my networking reaches full swing, but I'm now finding employ through my own efforts.

To my credit I've obtained a BS, an MBA and a solid resume since 2000--and I'm hoping to capitalize on that. Most importantly, I'm not going to settle for something I won't enjoy, and I will not go into a position where I'm expected to lie, cheat, or steal.

I'm excited for the first time EVER about my career potential and the promise of something new, and better. The weight of the stress I've carried over the last year is lifting, and my spirits are doing the same.
