What a good weekend, I'm relaxed and well rested for today. I played in a charity golf tournament yesterday that was for a very good cause.
A former coworker of mine tragically lost his wife, she was struck by a car and killed. The circumstances are gut wrenching. They were in the car together, arguing, she wanted to be let out to walk the remainder of the drive and cool down. He obliged and drove off, he felt terrible--and turned around to get her after a few blocks. But he returned to see that she had been killed by a car while she was walking. They never had a chance to make up. They also have a 3 year old son.
We were able to raise a few thousand dollars for his boy's future, and as a gesture of our condolences.
Remeber folks, tell the people you love that you love them often. You just never know.

I can't imagine what that must be like for him. I hope he can manage to come to terms with it somehow.
