Today was the first real day back to work, and as much as I didn't think I relaxed over the holidays apparantly I did. I really feel recharged coming into the new year. We'll see how everything goes, but I have this overriding sense of optimism. About a lot of things actually.
I would like to give a relationship a shot this year.
I'd like to give my best to my work, and not take any shit from my partner who occasionally gives me trouble. But I'd also like to go above and beyond what I'm expected to do just to know I'm not leaving anything on the table as far as effort is concerned. I believe in our business whole heartedly.
I will finish my condo by springtime, just in time to enjoy some nice cookouts on the patio, and enjoy having my only chores for the week be cleaning and laundry. Not rip out tile, hang drywall, do all crown molding, install cabinets, plumb sinks and faucets, lay new tile, paint everything, blah blah blah.
Most of all, just enjoy life more. Live within my means, stay out of trouble, be the best person I can be.
Sounds like resolutions, but I think they're more like goals. I haven't gotten anywhere I am today without goals. I need them, so here's to reaching them

You're renovating a condo? I love home renovations and interior design/decorating. I hope when I finally get a house of my own I'm in the financial situation to be able to do a complete overhaul, and make everything suit my exact tastes.
