Italian Bike Rider dinner thing was great. There was only one other monster there, a bone stock 620, so my chopped, loud, dark, obnoxious got a lot of smiles, back slaps, and complements from the gallery. Felt good, these guys came up on 999s, 749s, one Aprillia Falco, a Multistrada, some drove, but they gathered around my bike and had to hear the story.

I bought the bike about 2 years ago as a carb'd 600 dark. I've since chopped the tail, swapped in an injected 900S engine from a wrecked 900Sie, 5.5" rear wheel, aluminum swingarm, FBF Carbon pipes, Senna gray tank from an S4, open clutch cover, no belt covers, belly pan, SBK Corse tach from a 996, on and on and on...

I still have a self full of Brembo goldline pumps and snowflake rotors to swap on. That's next, along with a gearing change, PC III, chopping my pipes a bit, powdercoating the wheels, new oil cooler, new pressure plate and clutch cover, crank cover. It's an addiction I tell ya...But I love her so very much.

The old salts loved the work I'd done so far and just shook their heads and said it brought back memories of when they had the time and balls to hack up a Duc.

Okay-two journals ago I was talking about the Friendzone girl who was being very clear about being friends etc. Well, she just emailed me about an hour ago asking me if I wanted to do dinner Thurs or Friday. I'm psyched 'cause I'll get to hang out with her. And I'm just gonna hang like normal and have a good time. If she brings the topic up again, we'll talk. Otherwise I'm just going to enjoy the time and not put any pressure on when we'll hang out again, etc. Which is what I'd do anyway these days since I'm not looking for anything, but her being so adament about being friends has me puzzled. Especially since she just asked me to do something.

Hmmmm.....
