I'm so impatient. I told everyone that I was planning on moving back to Arizona this time next year. I wish I was gone now. It's hard to go to work and just do the same piddly shit I was doing 3 years ago. I guess it's nice that they pay me a lot more than back then. I suppose I should take more responsibility to do more for the QC thing, but now that Big B is gone, what's the fucking point? The assholes that need QC won't do it, and their boss makes nice speeches but won't do anything about it. They're fucked far as I'm concerned, I can't make them turn out quality work, no matter how much I bug them.
At least summer is here now. Sara took my dipnet to the Chitina fishery this weekend to meet up with Alec and his group of Fairbanks Commandos. Sounded like a good trip, but was too short of notice. Had made other plans...most of which I haven't completed yet. It's tough going through old papers and such and deciding what you want, need, etc. So many choices. Would rather have the BBQ grilling and nice thick steak, or some shrimp kebabs, or some chicken, even better a nice thick salmon filet. Sure it's a year old, but even year old Alaskan salmon is better than the East Coast shit they sell to everyone at Costco and the lower 48. Mongrel salmon, not even worthy of the name!
