Been reading a lot lately. Reading at home, working at work and drawing in art class.
Last assignment was to draw a part of a draped cloth to see if we could capture the shading/contours of the fabric. I think I'm getting the feel for art drawing as opposed to technical drafting. I have to keep reminding myself not to outline everthing but to use the shading to build the subject. I should have taken this class when I was in college the first time. Sure would be a lot easier to talk to people in the class. Specially the wimmins.
Last book was "2182 Kilohertz" about a merchant mariner working the arctic. I used to dream the romance of life on the sea, but after reading that book, I think I shall remain content with the comfy life I have.
Finally got the Nome 50% plans out the door. Now on to bigger and better bastards of design, like Homer2 or CC Road, quite possibly even Shotgun Cove Road. Time will only tell me to get back to work!
