entering the last gasp.
it's trying so hard to become Spring. the snow is melting, slowly but surely it is going away. everyday there is more yellow grass and grey asphalt visible. the lines have been erased and everyone travels in the grooves or just above them fearful of skipping like a well-worn LP. listening to John Coltrane on the phonograph...letting my mind coast.
going to go see "The Birds" by Alfred Hitchcock tonight at the theatre/pub. seen this movie by Alfie once before a long time ago on some late night binge of caffeine, nicotine and egg sammiches. remembering it was quite unsettling. to the point that any time i see gulls i get a little nervous.
but the ravens are another story. they look you right in the eye. there is no fearing them, just a level of knowingness that you may get once in a great while with a good bird dog...but with so few other beings of the animal species...especially people with marketing or business degrees.
