What haven't you been reading lately? I've a ton of books in my shelves but haven't been reading them at all. I found a book in Arizona in my mom's bookshelves that is holding my attention, it's about Cultural Literacy. I started reading Neal Stephenson's "Quicksilver" but started getting bored about 3 pages into it. So I picked up another book that was by the bed about the 2,000 Year Old Man. It's a long running comedy routine by Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks. My father used to have the records but I think he sold them. I couldn't find them anyway. It's been fun reading little bits of it as my mind wanders towards another night of R.E.M.

As far as literature goes...I've a ton of it on my shelves but seemingly so little time. I need to prepare for my upcoming semester of teaching. As I look through the books I see titles that my father gave me in the years leading up to his death. I keep thinking there will be a treasure inside, but I'm not sure if I'm ready for it yet. Too many stories to hold on to. I'll have a massive sale just before I leave; everything must go. Even me.
