I am not in a picture-taking mood but I did indeed cut off my hair. Intentional changes in appearance are like medicine. Getting too comfortable can lead to psychological stagnation.
January has brought renewed motivation. I don't have a day off for the next 14 days. My last day off was exactly a week ago. I'm busy, busy, busy....But work and school, they force me inside my head a lot...
These are traits that constitute my favorite people:
Inner strength, the ability to conquer without an army of support.
Independence, as my shoulders are often too sore to act as crutches.
Honesty. Real honesty. Eyes like windows, like silver lakes swimming with stories.
Guts. Cowardice is weakness.
Deep empathy, an innate emotional understanding of others and a natural ability to connect
Passion
I am at home in the company of Dionysus, immersed in madness, indulging in all the pleasures of the flesh. I seek people full of lust and beauty; people cut out of the sky, made from constellations; drunken souls with unchained spirit; tortured artists with paint for blood; lovers that leave me ravaged; men that can overwhelm me; women that make me weak.
I would rather wade through the boiling rivers in hell with someone spectacular than exist in the humdrum and mediocre company of anyone less than divine. There are people with minds and hearts that stimulate me to my fingertips, lips that are electrifying, bodies that move with the pull of the moon. They are supernatural, born to ignite this earth, to breathe fire, to rise high and fall again, to shake the ground on which we build the foundations of our complacency.
We can pull Venus from her orbit and throw Mars off his chariot... change the tides for the people we love, force the sun to rise earlier, create more hours in the day. Anything goes after a transcendental coup d'tat.
