I've been watching the L Word for 2 nights (marathon!) and it is reminding me how lucky I am to come from a family that does not care at all if I am gay, straight, or something in between. I would never have to hide a girlfriend (although I have been generally more private about women I've dated. I wasn't sure how my brothers would have responded when we were younger, but at this point I know it wouldn't phase them either).

When I was like 15, I went out for lunch with my mom and told her, "I don't know if I'll ever go out with guys again. I might be a lesbian, mom."
Her response: "Oh, I'm so relieved. I had a feeling this time might come." Relieved? Interesting

Today, I told my dad about an actress I find wicked hot on a certain show and I told him she was my dream woman.
He laughed at me for having lots of ridiculous crushes.

I don't even think my huge extended family gives a crap. I'm definitely not the only girl in my family who dates other girls sometimes... I can think of 4-5 others who definitely have as well, and it isn't a secret.

Anyway, I'm back to swooning over Katherine Moennig (who reminds me of a guy I dated- ha, I suck!)...
