I'm slacking in blog land, I know.

Got some work done on the fish on my right arm yesterday. Still lots more to go. Put some color into the new fish, but more is going into it... Was thinking of doing the water in black and gray but did the fish gold, so I think I want to do the water super vivid blues because the fish will really pop then...

I have SO MUCH HOMEWORK.
Right now, I'm in the process of writing an 8 page paper analyzing Ludwig Tieck's Die Elfen. I read it on Der Spiegel's Projekt Gutenberg, but I'm pretty sure the story itself is barely 8 pages.. . Ha! I do enjoy coming to idiotic literary conclusions, and I also like creating clusterfucked German words (something that doesn't work as well in English smile ) but I'm so totally not feeling this paper.

I have to write 3 essays for Wednesday also and read a novel and a half (in French, buhhhh) to and do another effing essay for the following Monday... and I have an exam tomorrow.

JSUIS FATIGUE HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, the great news is that the semester is ending. Hoo-fukkin-rah!

I'll get into a little Q&A for fun:

If you could relive any year of your life, which year would it be?
Probably 2002. That was the year I was an exchange student in Germany and I would have done things very differently had I known then what I know now. I also was involved with all kinds of fucked up people and switched schools 2x and had all sorts of general disasters going on-- my adolescence was kind of catastrophic, I'll admit -- and I could do without some of the memories. Really, though, I don't think I want to redo ANY year-- I am the person I am today because of the things I learned in the past...

Would you ever go to Switzerland?
Why not....?

Are you really as horny as you seem like you are?
Indeed.

Do you believe in soulmates?
Sure, I do. I don't think that everyone HAS one, or that you will only ever be happy with a soulmate... I just think that there are definitely some people who are destined for eachother (like my parents-- no kidding -- same birthday and a crazy crazy love story-- they really are soulmates). Also, I think soulmates can manifest themselves in different ways, and some people are fated to be in your life but in a non-romantic way.

Did you ever want a sister?
No. I'm sure it would have been cool, but I really love having brothers. I do have a "sister" who isn't really my sister... she's one of my best best friends and we really are like sisters... And even though we don't really look that much alike, we are constantly mistaken for twins (!!!), and sisters, and when we deny it, they say, "you must at LEAST be cousins." Nope!!!!! smile

What are you having for dinner?
I wanted to make melanzane parmigiana but I am lazy today. So I just made pasta and cooked the eggplant down in the sauce, and sort of half-assed it. Really good nonetheless.

What do you want for Christmas?
A cover for my couch, a bottle of Hypnse, and a lot of whiskey in my hot chocolate.

I'm pretty excited to be spending the day after Christmas with not just my immediate family, but one of my cousin's families... I have 2 cousins who I spent a massive amount of my childhood with, and so our parents planned a special dinner because 3 of us were away for thanksgiving (Vancouver, Montral, and somewhere in England but I actually don't know where specifically), and the year before, I think one of my brothers was in Namibia during Thanksgiving....

Buncha globe trotters...

stcyr:
good luck with the end o' the semester. I hear you on the whole experiences being what makes us who we are, but . . . if I'd known then, what I know now I definitely wouldn't have been such an asshole in my younger days; but, then again, as Bob Dylan once lamented "Ah, but I was so much older then. I'm younger than that now." wink

"Die Elfen."

I'm guessing it's NOT about killing elves, in spite of the title... tongue
