Another junkie died on the sidewalk a block down the street from my apartment today. That's three in three years, and those are just the ones I know about. Then there was the suicide last year about 20 feet from my front door.
I can't say I'm surprised that I've been feeling fed up with this place recently. I suspect that the vacation I'm taking next month will be a difficult one to come back from. The last time I was in the US was the end of 2009, and things were so bleak there at that time that coming back here was a bit of a relief. As it is now though, I find myself wishing that ticket to the US was one way.

I just read your note about the outlaw appeal, and it reminded me of that new brand you talked about when we were strolling through TA after the burlesque show- some new chopper company with a really good value for their bike. do you remember what it was?
