Bored as hell at work. I've got a birthday party tonight for my friend Kate. Kate is awesome and I always have a good time hanging out with her, but her friends annoy the crap out of me. It's always an awkward time with them. Most of them are graduate students, which is fine in theory, but they have this way of looking at anything I say as being uninformed or just plain stupid because I don't have a piece of paper to say I know what I'm talking about. Yes, it is true that I didn't go to college, I'm a mechanic by trade and I'm covered in tattoos. What can I say, I had a different time growing up, it doesn't make me stupid. I like Kate and don't want to cause a scene at her birthday, so I won't get a chance to let these people know what I really think of them. It's a shame, it's something they need to hear.

Anyway, life is pretty good otherwise. The weather has been quite nice and we're trying to plan a big cookout in a couple weeks or so. We had a big one last year at about this time and it was a blast. The new job is going well, it is a bit boring but I can kill time on SG, so I won't complain too much.
