Strange couple of weeks. I lost my job at the casino two weeks ago, which would have been bad were it not for the fact that I was getting to hate it there. I got a new job in just a few days at another casino. I had thought it was just going to be a slightly better version of my last job, but it turns out that I'm the account/VIP manager for the whole English-speaking market, which is a huge step up. So, I guess it all worked out pretty well. The girl tells me that they have a saying for this kind of thing in Brazil "H males que vm para o bem", which means something like "some bad things come for the good things to happen" (her translation).
Life is good on the whole. Last week some of us SG Israel folks went out for bruch. It was a good time and the orange juice was truly top notch. I'm hoping to still be able to visit the US at the end of the summer, it's been almost a year and a half since I've seen my family. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
