today is my best friend Sam's birthday. he would have been 25 today if he was still alive. he used to joke that his mom was still drunk from new years when she went into labor
so in honor of his quarter century anniversary of exiting the jade gate i will have to get shit faced drunk yet again today. it is my duty 
i've got a bottle of cheap crappy pink champagne left over that i'm sure will give me a headache and leave that nasty film on my teeth, but i must fulfill my act of devotion in his memory. anyway, happy new year to all and have a hair of the dog drink today if not for your hangover, then for my Sam. and be sure to give a sip to the earth...
