So...since the last time I posted. Went to Germany for about a month for some hooah army training...which as usual sucked some major cock, and by major I mean massive amounts...not rank. This time we rode around in humvees instead of krunning up and down the side of a mountain...yay. Aside from that we did some urban ops and that was pretty much it. Aside from a few fits of snow the weather held up fairly well throughout and we were in the same barracks as last time which werent half bed. However, the last 4 or 5 days we were up there we stayed in the little MOUT city and unfortunately the building didnt have any windows or other form of insulation so it was a bit chilly. But it was too easy to bear with, after about 3 weeks of the shit there were only 3 more DAYS...not a problem at all.
Well we got back about a week ago...so why havent I updated between then and now? I, being a genious, packed my cellphone and keys in my A bag...which we didnt get back till today. So for the last week Ive been internetless and without a key to my room...which meant that if one of my roommates wasnt here I had to go to the CQ desk and have them open the room for me. This past weekend the squad went out one night...started at Papa Joes...pretty nice dinner. We started drinking there...made our way out to Cafe Vero and got our drink on. At this point someone decides it would be a good idea to make our way to the strip club and so we start the trek across town. A little ways down the road one of our team leaders pulls up and offers us a ride...so we pile into his beater and head of for the nudies. So now were rolling 7 deep...the squad enters the club and quickly disappears to the prive rooms. I return from the latrine to find no one still in the club area and think theyve left so I take off back toward post. The next morning I find out that everyone had gone to the back rooms to get rubbed up against by strippers and each of my commrades is now short about 400 euro.
So the next day we sleep it off. But the day after? Up nice and bright and early to head off to the Milano Tatoo Convention! What a trip that was...we get to the train station with about 20 minutes to spare...2 hour ride to Milano then about 20 minutes by taxi to the hotel where the convention is being held. Now theres a convention thats outgrown its venue...the place was packed! Moving through there reminded me oh cattle pushing through chutes, just rediculous. When we arrived we all started scoping out artists for our respective tattoos. The first one of us to get our ink underway was Unver...he got a portrait of Frankenstein on his forearm that came out looking better than the picture the guy was going off of. after that the rest of us broke off to get our own pieces going. Cam got some flames added to his pistol which was touched up at the same time. Stitch got a sailor style eagle with scroll and Gorman got equitas tatooed on his side opposite the veritas tatoo he had gotten at the convention when he had gone on day 1. Peterson got his angel reinked, which though was only about 2 months old had faded to hell. I got the first triskelle of my left shoulder piece done by a rather interesting artist. All in all it was a rather worthwhile trip.
