If people took money from others by force and used it to fund a group of thugs who then threw people in cages and killed those who went against their wishes, would I be the only one who found it intolerable?

maybe not the only one, but pretty close considering this is happening RIGHT NOW and it's called our GOVERNMENT...

Actually, you seem to be describing government in it's current sorry state. That means no, you are certainly not the only one.
