Just a quick post...

R is gonna start having tea tastings at the shop the first friday of every month. So that means...tomorrow!! Yep. Short notice, I know. We have a lot fun- snack a little, taste tea, play some tunes, etc. Hope some of you in the area can make it.

Sorry I was not there, it sounds very interesting I would to have your tea next to bagged tea to see the difference its hard to tell when you don't have them side by side. I hope the turn out was good, I don't know how many I will be able to make now the shelter is changing hours to 8:30 on Friday's so it will be tough but when I need an excuse to take a vacation day I will be there. I am hoping it will coincide with a red tea tasting.
luckeyisis:
8:30 is a trade off to get weekends off, and technically its only ever other Friday because we are open until 8:30 on Tuesday's also and we switch off which night we stay late. Its to help out with adoptions and be open when people are off work.

That's weird with Rene how can it taste like chemicals when its just tea, It says alot about what we eat the the natural stuff tastes funny because we put so many chemicals in out body.

Glad it turned out well.

These are some of the long lost master tapes I have been trying to digitize. My band Slo Pok from 1993-94. I'm happy to be getting them down, and it's GREAT to hear the songs as they were meant to be again. I know, some flaws in...

I will be there late (work till 2:30) with Paige and Travis and no Alcatraz this year because I want to be able to buy tea for years to come and he has no hair on his back so he may get a little cold. Can not wait, MMMMM veggie soup. I got another magazine with veggie soup recipes if you would like to look at at.

Mmmm. Lazy morning in. I woke up to the sound of the shower running, with dogs snuggling me in from both sides, dawn just beginning to creep into the room. Then the lovely drift of dozing for 1/2 an hour, Regan bustling around to go to work. NOTHING in this life is better than time+warm bed+chilly house+snuggly dogs. And of course tea waiting when I...

A brief note for your reflection. Random thoughts today:

I had cereal for breakfast. Not something I often do, but pleasant nonetheless. something about the crisp, the dried fruit, the slightly sweet, all held in a mesh of delightful cold milk. I used to drink milk every dinner, until I was like 20. Seriously, I was one of those kids- we all sat around the...

It's my birthday.

And a "transformative leader" has been elected to the White House. Sure, you can thank me if you want. I see a corollation, don't you?

Not to mention it's Guy Fawkes day, so it's DOUBLY a day to celebrate our liberties.

We listened to NPR on the way into work this morning, and a BBC reporter was interviewing people partying in the...

Both Republicans AND Democrats are actively seeking or passively complicit in disenfranchising American voters. Millions, folks. This strikes at our most fundamental core of freedom. If YOU and I allow this to continue, take the "Freedom Is'nt Free" and "Support Our Troops"...

"Why This Election Actually is About Defining the "Real America"
by Robert Creamer

Sarah Palin is right about one thing: this election is in fact a battle between the "real America" and a pretender. But it's not quite the battle she imagines. Palin couldn't be more wrong when she asserts that one group of Americans is more "American" than...

The southern and coastal regions of the state are certain to vote for Barack Obama.

In the north of the state, however, residents enjoy moose-hunting, fishing and snowmobiling just as much as they do in Mrs Palin's home state of Alaska.

"We are very impressed with the McCain-Palin ticket," said Paul Davis, president of the Maine Snowmobile Association.

"I think Sarah Palin has made the...
