I'm gonna change my profile stuff. You know, name, picture, etc.
There may be someone joining SG who I really don't want to associate with here. He's a "friend" in RL, who i do quite a bit with work wise, and he's a client. Nice guy, I like him, but he.... has some issues..... about his upbringing, mother, sex, etc. and I don't really want to have discussions with him about this place that I feel is kinda comfortable for me.
So there.
Keep an eye on your "friends" posts. Of course, you're all smart peeps. You'll figure it out.
In other news-
I bought SG Jordan's book the other day. I haven't read but 2 pages yet, and I'm all giggly excited about it.
Go buy it. Now.
I've had kinda a nice day at home today. Messed around on the 'puter SGing (in course) and playing Cossacks, cut the grass, took Sadie for a walk, did some dishes and shit.... you know, just kinda enjoyed the day. Tried to do a little work, but had major brain farts.
Last weekend was awesome. the weather, which promised to truly suck as it rained ALL OF FRIDAY, was nevertheless perfect- blue skies, little puffy clouds, and the mid 70's all weekend.
No strife, everyone got along, even though the Asshole Christian Right Family did make their own Saturday eve meal, instead of enjoying the one that EVERYONE ELSE had, provided by locust grove and lovingly cooked over open hearth all day long by our friends.
They can be real bastards.
Oh. And their friend chose to use the word "ni***r" and other racial epithets in front of an 8 year old. Her father, fortunatley, told him where to shove it.
Lots of music on Fri and Sat, much of it played on the mandolin for me, which i am learning, and it was not only fun but an ego boost. i haven't learned a new instrument in AGES. And nearly everyone joined in. It was loevly. Spent LOTS of time talking and demonstrating to public, leatherwork and firearms and tactics and all that good stuff, and surprised myself at how much I actually know and how easy it is for me to talk to people about it.
We may even have three new recruits.
I got to be sergeant both days, and led our company in the tactical both days as well. Yay for me!!!

She is a professional tarot reader, and she does lots of email readings. She is uncanny in how spot on she is, but it's not weird0 none of that "ooooo, devil card, you gonna die" shit, but thouroughly professional and moder in every way. She really sheds light on whatever sitch you ask about.
She does 1/2 hour and full hour readings, for $25 or $50 bucks respectively, and best of all, she takes paypal.
And she is trying to make some money to finish the full sleeve tattoo she started a month or so ago.

after all, SG is kind of like our safe haven...
our community for lack of a better term, and it seems like you share enough time with him off the internet, having to befriend him on here, could be acquaintance overload..
How did you find out he was joining?
or did he just come out and tell you?
