So I submitted a news story Friday morning.
I haven't gotten any word on acceptance. Guess I'm not gonna. I have also tried to put my directory listing into another category, got a message that it would be "reviewed", and haven't heard anything else there either.
Hmmmm.

In other news, we have our first day of real "winter" since December, and only the 3rd or 4th all year so far. It started to snow yesterday, and continued all day, and now we have a lovely covering on the ground, the branches of the trees are etched with snow, and the sky is a lead grey, pregnant with more snow.
It's also cold.

In other news, we celebrated my sister's 40th birthday yesterday. Had a big filet mignon on the grill, fried potatoes, salad, fresh asparagus, and cake and ice cream. Unfortunately, the gift we got her (The Ramones Anthology) she already had. We had a nice time though- my aunt was there- the kids were pretty good, despite a certain amount of screaming from the 3 year old and pouting from the 8 year old.
Today, we cuddled in bed for awhile, I got up and fixed malted waffles (yumm!!) and bacon, and we watched Nightmare Before Christmas.
Life is very good today.

I'm not doing anything much different from what I wrote... other than the boy and I going over to my dad's for a birthday dinner later tonight. We're saving the partying for the concert we're going to in Rochester in a month.
And re. submitting things here... I tried to create a "tall girl" group, but I got denied. I don't really understand their rhyme or reason, since there used to be a tall girl group but it disappeared. I still say they throw darts to decide things.
