So here's how Christmas works at our house.
1. Wrapping untold gazillions of packages, until my fingers bleed, my nails are dismembered, and all the tape is gone.
For family of course.
2. Addressing, stamping, licking (eewww), and thinking up original things to write for 200 Christmas cards.
That's right.
200.
3. Collecting, collating, copying, labeling, stuffing, addressing, posting, AND mailing our "Regan and Lance's 2005 christmas CD".
Wha?? Huh???
Yep. A CD.
So here is what's on it.
1. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen- Bare Naked Ladies. Yep, they do a mean Christmas song.
2. Oh Tannenbaum- Vince Garaldi/ charlie Brown Soundtrack
3. Grene Groweth the Holly- Trad. from Anonymous 4
4. It Came Upon A Midnight clear- Fab Four, a Beatles tribute.
5. Linus and Lucy- Vince Garaldi (the theme)
6. Salva Nos- Mediaeval Baebes
7. I Have a Little Driedel- Bare Naked Ladies
8. Fairytale of New York- The pogues
9. Reels ( Tom Billy's, The Old Bush, Christmas Eve)- Tim Brytton, an Irish piper
10. O Holy Night- bare Naked Ladies
11. Joy to the World- Fab Four
12. Skating- Vince Garaldi
ARE YOU SEEING A PATTERN HERE?!?
13. The Holly and The Ivy- Mediaeval Baebes
14. Zat You, Santa Claus?- Louis Armstrong
15. Deck the Stills- Bare Naked ladies
16. In Dulce Jubilo- Mediaeval Baebes
17. Elfs lament- Effing Bare Naked ladies again
18. Silent Night- the immortal Bing Crosby
19. Quan Vey la Laugheta- Mediaeval Baebes
20. Auld lang Syne- yes, lades and gentlemen, the BARE NAKED LADIES!!
All in all, it actually is good mix. And we are nuts for Christmas. But after all, it only comes once a year, right?
PLEASE say it only comes once a year... hehe... hehe *more mad laughter ensues*
