Yep, t's official, I've become obsessed with the Scott Pilgrim books (and movie). Probably partly because I love Toronto, Love Canadians, Love O'Malley's 23 year old character, and Absolutely love the whole Canada/US inferiority/superiority complex thing that is subtlety hinted at. (THIS Maclean's article explains it way better then I can.) While of course viewing it kind of from both sides, as an American, and as a Canadian resident. (For the record I love both countries.) I of course am also amused that Scott is a bit of my Canadian doppelgnger, particular that whole Canadian obsesstion with an American girl contrasted with me (American) obsessed with Canadian women.

I'm also amused that I'm not alone. I have to only look as far as the Geography Department of University Of Toronto (my university) to find someone as obsessed. I mean someone there made a map of all of the locations in the books (and I mean ALL of them, not just the easy public ones), with pictures (real life v comic), and listed the number of times it's visited in the story. Now that's dedication.

Ok, enough over analysis and geeking out. I just needed to geek out about something, since I wasn't really feeling one with my inner geek at FanExpo and have been having a rough time with the ol' depression.

i loved that movie, i really wish i had read the comics first now.

also, the goodwill that Scott and Knives go to? right down the street from my house smile it's on St. Clair, even though they make it look like it's at Bathurst and Bloor.

You're quite right, of course (especially the duels he had in Ep. 2 and 3), but I have yet to find any clips of him taking on an entire droid army by himself, haha.

(Out of curiosity, I had a look at the comments of that clip. The best one I saw was "I am tired of these motherfucking droids on this motherfucking plain!")
