Hey how is everyone? You girls still staying absolutely super sexy? Of course you are! You're all sexy!

Things have been ok for me, though I've been blown off by a couple of my friends. Ok by all of my friends. But whatever. I would be mad or surprised or something, but come on this is like the 10,000th time this has happened.

On a new topic, does anyone read any of Josh Howard's comics? I've been really into his stuff for a while now. I highly suggest the "Dead@17" and "Black Harvest" series. I've fallen in love with his drawing style and the way he draws feminine figures. I always like his feminine characters since they are always...different. Not a bad different more like here different, breath of fresh air different. I guess his style is another example of that semi-minimist style that can be seen in Jeph Jacque's work and even R. Stevens. When you look at his work there isn't ten billion lines. There is just the lines needed to portray what is needed yet without having to have you imagine parts of the image. Shadow, color, and texture still are portrayed but without having a cluttered feeling to the art.

Anyone know what I'm talking about? It seems like whenever I try and have a talk about art I get really blank stares or "uh huhs". Worse is when I try and have a discussion about the feminine figures in art or in person citing examples as suicide girls I get the same "uh huh, yeah, you just like looking at women's bodies, you fucker." answer. Ok maybe they say it without the "you fucker" part but they do usually think that part to themselves.

I love feminine shapes and curves. Especially the non-generic ones. I love seeing artists draw something other then the generic big breasted blond with a straight body and sticks for legs. I'm ok with art that has a body type that isn't completely possible (a good example is the art done for the SG cards) if the artist shows an effort in their style.

Thoughts? Comments?

Sorry if this is a little hard to follow. I really wish I was near my scanner so I could add some image examples to this discussion.

These are the kind of things I start to blog about when I haven't had anyone intelligent and civilized to talk to for two weeks.

On another note: My web site is coming along. By coming along I mean I still have no fucking clue what I'm doing but I'm try to figure it all out.

Though I have installed a Wordpress blog on my hosting server so in the future I might be doing certain blog entries over there. I have yet to really get everything set up on it but I have decided to try and steer way from talking about personal updates there (e.g. how my day was, what I ate for breakfest, etc...) and more about topics that interest me and can possibly foster discussions. Topics such as the news, various arts that I enjoy, homebrewing, booze, and stuff like that. If there does end up being a good base of people who are willing to discuss topics I may even set up a message board system.

Personally I don't know the full plan but I will keep you SG members updated.

So yes that's life right now. Time for sleep.
