So time for more of my random, unrelated statements as a way to try and pull my self out a pretty deep depression.

-First off I've come across this link. I feel for the guy and I could see my self doing the same thing. I'm just surprised how much support he is getting from the interweb community.

-Second, I saw a car commercial last...

Thank you to all the people who wished me a happy birthday. You guys were pretty much the only people who wished me a happy birthday. Which just means you rock my socks that much harder. My birthday was pretty crappy but that's behind me.

I finally have my bike back from the shop. And to top it off I spent over an hour just...

Another year gone by. Another step back. Another "happy" birthday.

A toast to birthdays alone.

Gah, it's been a pretty shitty week. Yeah I'm gonna whine and vent since I've been meaning to since Wednesday. So take that as a warning. Any supportive comments are welcome.

So yeah that whole Zingerman's roadhouse thing. Complete and utter bullshit. They say they're gonna call they don't. They say call in at a particular time and they person who I suppose to talk...

Well I had my trial shift at Zingerman's roadhouse. I think I got the job...well maybe. I didn't get a definite answer but I'm going to get a call Monday and the owner did seem to have a nicer tone then when I had previously talked to him. Though as trial shifts go it was pretty useless I think. I wasn't "allowed" to make any...

So the my fight for a job at Zingerman's continues. After a couple of attempts to set up a "trial shift" I now have one for tomorrow from 5-7pm. I'm actually a little freaked out. The place still seems kind of odd to me. It's American food just really really high quality but served to you by people in blue jeans and black t-shirts. Which...

The rain is still here.  I'm not sure if think that's a good thing or a bad thing.  I do want to get back out in the forest exploring and biking but I love the rain so much.  I'm kind of going stir crazy.

Had my Zingerman's interview today.  Think it went well.  I'm not sure really.  I mean it lasted about 10 mins.  I...

I want to be able ride my bike again.  I love the rain but it's been going on for something like five days with no end in sight.

My father and I had another one of those heart to heart talks that we have been he has a little too much to drink.  Some surprises but pretty much the same things I've heard before.  He...

For a while I've had the suspicion that people never change.  The good people remain good and the bad people remain bad and us people in between remain in between.  Over a long enough time scale you can see who is who.  So far I think there's evidence for both sides of the debate that people never change.

Since I've been back in Ann Arbor...

I've been struggling on how to say these words.  I just hope the person(s) who read this will pass them on.  I'm of course talking about those people that I left behind in Canada.  The rest of you are welcome to read it but I'm sorry if this makes no sense.  First off I'm sorry I left without any good byes.  I was meaning to...

Today's been a real exciting day.  I mean that in a sarcastic way.  Right now I'm sitting in my basement waiting for the TiVo box to finish phoning home and updating because it decided it didn't want to be part of the wireless network that I reset up...five times now.  Why can't devices just work properly the first time.

In other news I dropped my...

Today's been...odd.  It was my first full day back in Ann Arbor and I spent most of it unpacking and sorting my stuff.  But for some reason it doesn't feel like home.  I mean I never felt comfortable in Kingston and I still haven't started to feel comfortable at home.  I'm lost.
