you are so very right that laser declawing is much better than the older method. however, it just sickens me that it comes down to removing a cat's claws or abandoning/euthanizing for some people. i just can't understand the logic of someone who wants to surgically alter their pet just to make them more "convenient." i think it's disgusting. 
i know it's now illegal in the UK to declaw cats. i think that's awesome!
