I've talked about my strained relationship with my Dad in previous blogs. Anyone who knows me well knows that I have a very awkward and, what I consider to be, dysfunctional relationship with my Dad.

He called today, and for the first time in a while I was completely honest with him. I told him I wasn't going to take classes in the fall, because I was just burnt out on school. I told him that I was really enjoying working full time, and I didn't have any intention of stopping.

The thing about my Dad is that he really is a good guy. He's supportive and understanding. I just have a really hard time being honest with him, because the distance between us is so great.

So it was really nice to tell my Dad how I felt and what I was going to do, and to have him just say, "Well, I understand. I was there when I was your age, too." It really took a load off.

I feel much better now. Much less worried and stressed about it.

In other news, my girlfriend and I are looking for a girl to be a third.
