One of my professors just used Star Wars as a serious analogy in a philosophy class. I'm not opposed to Star Wars references in philosophy, because there are actually some decent ones to be made.
But then he started talking about how the Skywalkers were just a bunch of whiney bitches (his language, not mine), and that's when I tuned out.
If he can't understand the epic, awesome weight of being the most powerful and influential conduits of the Force in the galaxy and the awesome amount of confusion, inner turmoil, and suffering that, that creates, he isn't entitled to make Star Wars references of any kind. Anybody who calls the Skywalkers "whiney bitches" doesn't understand the movies. Period.

Makes it hard to want to play. I tend to get to a point eventually where I just go, "Bugger this, I'm going to go fishing." Which reminds me, I need to do some research on some fish that I've caught recently...
