I feel like blogging today. So much of what I've been reading about today has involved blogs. Observe!
I finally read up on the whole verizonmath thing. If anyone hasn't found this yet, go here and take in everything you can. It's hilarious. It's a perfect illustration of what people of my generation are amounting to. Some lady named Nikki (I think - the manager at the end of the phone call) is going to die someday, and all anyone is going to remember about her is that she referred to the difference between .002 cents and .002 dollars as "a difference of opinion."
Also, I read up on the whole tomdelay.com thing. Not surprising that the comment feature was disabled after an hour, but then again, I can't say I blame him. It was pretty stupid for him to venture into the Internet and blog community and not expect a firestorm to erupt. I bet one of his aides or analysts or someone like that found it, called him, verbally kicked his ass, and had him turn the comments off. Then he goes on Hardball and says he'll never run for public office again - no shit.
I've been starting to read digg.com recently. It's a pretty good hodgepodge of newsie things. Kind of like the SG news, which, honestly, is where I get the bulk of my news. If I could watch Countdown with Keith Olbermann that would complete my newsing. I don't care about the objectiveness of the news outlet. Everything has a slant, so I'd prefer the slant behind my news outlet to be plainly obvious. I get my news from porn-loving, left-wing, clever-as-shit dudes like Olbermann and Legionairre and fearthereaper, and my news is a rock n' roll information party.
