OK, I've been tagged. So, ready or not, here are 20 facts you might not know about Ol' Jabroni:
1. My current job is the longest I've worked at one place in my life(5 1/2 years.)
2. I have a little musical talent.(keyword - little) I own a keyboard, an acoustic guitar and a tenor sax, which all three sit idle more than they get played right now. There is just not enough time in the day!
3. In high school, I was in the marching, concert and jazz bands. So, yes, I was a band nerd.
4. I almost didn't graduate high school.(lack of ambition, not intelligence)
5. I was a volunteer firefighter for almost ten years, the last two as Assistant Fire Chief.
6. I worked a car accident that involved 3 of my friends. Two were seriously hurt and one was killed. His fiance was also my friend and they had a baby boy the week before. Six months later I was in therapy. It helped, but I never went on another call and quit the fire company.
7. I am almost finished my PC repair course.
8. I plan to have my own repair business.
9. There isn't a form of music that I don't like, or at least can listen to.
10. I've been arrested for my involvement in restraining a drugged up wacko with duct tape.
11. I was in jail on what was supposed to be my first day at my current job. I haven't missed a scheduled day of work since.
12. My truck's name is Lola, after The Kinks song.
13. The closest I've come to taking drugs is second hand joint smoke in the bathroom at a ZZ Top concert.
14. I can turn any comment around and into a sexual reference. What can I say, itsa gift.
15. I don't get beer muscles. I am a happy drunk.
16. I've only ever had two addresses in my life. 16 years at the first one, 18 at the present.
17. I've been fat since the day I was born.
18. My Dad died when I was 9. Sometimes I wonder if he would be proud of the man I've become.
19. My Mom is my best friend, and I'm proud to say that.
20. After two years, the only woman I've ever truly loved told me she didn't love me. I can't say I've ever completely gotten over it.
