"Its better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all."
Up until tonight, I thought that was bullshit. Why go through the pain of heartbreak? It's not worth it. To be cast aside like an empty soda bottle, who needs it?
Then I read Morgan's journal. List things you love, she says. OK. So I start listin'. Family, friends, yadda yadda yadda. And a memory, a distant memory suddenly comes to the front of my consciousness. A dimly lit dance floor at the fire house...Keep on Lovin' You by REO Speedwagon blastin' through the DJ's speakers...holdin' her oh so close...her head restin' on my shoulder...barely movin' to the music...the scent of watermelon from her body lotion fuels my euphoria and everyone on that crowded dance floor just melts away. A moment that seems to last forever and, at the same time, is gone in an instant.
Ahem...I guess it ain't bullshit. Take away the lost love and you take away that memory. No thanks, I'll keep them both, the memory and the pain.

The BK commercials freak me out, too!! The kids and I laugh and laugh over them and then shudder and go back to our business when they come on.
David Spade's show doesn't do it for me. But I'll try it again on your recommendation. I like politics more than gossip, though, which is why I like Daily Show sooooo much. Oh yeah, and Jon Stewart.
