Wow, what a weekend. It was really nice to get away from everyday life and just relax with good friends.
I got to Wausau around 8:30ish and my buddy bubagrip had a nice rum and coke waiting for me in the fridge, as well as a nicely packed bowl. We smoked the bowl, threw in The Day After Tomorrow, which sucks my ass, but i finished 2 big rum and cokes by the end, so I was feeling really really good. (it was 151 proof, cant remember the name.) After that, one of his friends came over and we played some Texas Hold'em, I was kicking ass at first, then lost a lot, but Saturday night I won it all back and then some.
You know, you often get caught up in the rush of everyday life, and seem to forget how nice it is to have a good friend or two. Someone who is generous and sharing. There aren't a lot of people like that around these days.
Anyways, I got back home around 2:15pm, and I've got a lot of cleaning I have to get done. I have left shit laying around for a few weeks. Nobody really comes over, so there isn't much of an excuse to get things cleaned if its just me here.
I think I'm going to rearrange my apartment a little bit. My TV is blocking the front window, which hosts a really nice view of the river and the forest. So after some thoughts, I'm only going to have the internet, and say screw cable, I don't need it and I always end up getting sucked into shows all day, so that will kind of set me free in a way.
I need to move the couch and do some serious vaccuming, and I've probly got about 2 or 3 bags worth of trash waiting for me to throw away. I always enjoy cleaning when I get around to it, it just has a special aesthetic feeling like you got something done and it looks nice. Maybe its just me, but I like it.
Well, the speakers on my stereo system are starting to crackle, which sucks, but I've got a small boombox I can listen to music with, so I think around Xmas I'll get myself a new stereo.
Well, I've started to ramble, so I'm gonna finish up lookin at email and all and start cleaning this place.
