Since I am quitting the Pie next month, I suppose a job rant is just about timely.

Note: These are all REAL Utah Liquor Laws. I have to do this shit, everyday, to make a fucking living.

"Yes, I'd like a pitcher of beer please."

Ha! You want beer? What do you think this is, America? This is Utah, son. You want a pitcher of...

I loved reading that, very funny. I had heard that Utah was a little nutty with thier liquor laws but had no idea that it was quite that bad. What's a guy got to do to get a shot of Jameson in a bar?

I got a call from my sis today, informing me that her husband, Mike, is leaving her for another woman. Soon, my sister will be a twice-divorced mother-of-three, and a struggling writer to boot.

My heart bleeds for my sister.

Guys suck.

So naturally the day after I talk about how great my telemarketing job is, they find a way to piss me off. Due to a clerical error, a good 15% of my paycheck (that wasn't supposed to) grew wings and ascended into the federal government. The problem has been (I think) solved and, granted, I am supposed to see that missing money again someday, but...

A shocking turn of events: I am beginning to enjoy my telemarketing job. This is the third day in a row I have broken commission and the second day in a row I've made over $10.00 an hour.

Another bonus is I've made a new friend at this job. Mr. Ben Crosby. He is the guy who trained me, and he apparently he comes from...

i'm sorry... i've been there, and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. work anxiety dreams are hell. i used to have this awful recurring nightmare involving chicken that wouldn't cook. i just kept searing it and searing it and it was raw regardless. the chef would continually lean over me, screaming that we couldn't serve it to the customers like that.
*shudder*
have you seen the happiness of the katakuri's? i just rented it... and was very confused and abit dissapointed in miike. it had it's moments, but...
i'm seeing land of the dead tomorrow. apres vous tonight. ah, escapism.

On Saturday I could not speak and I was feeling near-dead. I believe it was the first time I've ever called in sick to work where I was literally physically incapable of working. My roommate, The Meat Handler, saved my life by giving me some leftover perscription pills that supposedly cured his pnuemonia circa back in the day. These things looked like Tic-Tacs from hell;...

This week has been one of the hardest weeks of my life. I have definitely had harder weeks emotionally and mentally, but this has got to be the hardest week I've ever had physically. I've never worked over sixty hours a week before, but to work sixty hours a week with a bad cold and a blown eardrum while quitting smoking....

There were many points...

Whelp, my intended vacation from all things internet has to end abruptly for a moment. Or at least be postponed. I just wanted to get on this thang to let you all know that I had to check into the emergency room this morning. Yes, I'm okay.

I woke up from a nap yesterday with an earache. I complained about it at work and they...

A little somethin' somethin' I wrote for Campus Progress

I'll be the first to admit it: I'm a natural born slacker. I would like nothing better than to spend the rest of my life, hanging out on the porch, drinking a Pabst Blue Ribbon and smoking a cigarette. If it were up to me, I would never get up before 3pm and I would never...
