Last night I went with my girl to see Guided By Voices. It was a great outdoor venue... Pier 54 - jutting right out into the Hudson River. From where we stood, we could see the River, the banks of New Jersey in the distance, a pretty cool sunset, and of course, a good view of the stage. The band Ambulance opened and they were OK. GUIDED BY VOICES blew everyone's mind. My girl had seen them many times, but it was my first time. They rocked. It was evidently one of their last shows in NYC as they are breaking up.

Tonight I'm working at Slipper Room. Its suppose to rain - so I'm keeping the ol' fingers crossed we have a good a/k/a 'crowded' night. There are some good burlesque dancers performing including DELERIUM TREMENS, LITTLE BROOKLYN, JO BOOBS, and PEEKABOO POINTE (who is the only one I haven't met yet). So local SG's c'mon out and party with us!

This weekend I'm taking my girl out sailboating. (prolly on Sun as its gonna rain allegedly on Sat) There's a remote beach only accessable by boat called Hemlock Beach - absolutely no people - huge waves - driftwood EVERYWHERE - so you feel like Swiss Family Robinson... and we'll be skinny dipping!!!!!

So I'm praying Homeric Hymns to all the Greek Gods for good weather...
