My favorite part of the Ixion Bulesque Show last night at Slipper Room, was the Greek Games. This is the 'audience participation' part of the show. We pick 3 pretty girls and one dude from the audience to participate. To win, you have to... well its a little tedious to explain... anyway, if you win, you get a prize - a watch or a CD. But a loser of the game has to get on stage and strip. Last night there were some really cute girls from the audience who had to strip! One of the girls was so nervous she kept spilling red wine on her cute little blouse... no worries, the blouse was shortly thrown into the audience anyway... It was so fun... then when they had taken off their clothes, prodded along by the Ixion girls with javelins, they were awarded a 'consolation' prize - which was a 5 kopek coin from the former Soviet Union. When considering the devaluation of the rubel since the Soviet collapse, and adjusted to current market rates, we figure these coins to be worth appoximately 1/10,000 of a penny. I love BURLESQUE !!

Update (6/13): this show went amazingly well... they had an old upright piano - so I didn't have to play the electric one - and that gave the show a cool vintage feel. The dancer's all bumbed and grinded (ground?) their way into a sweaty bliss. Afterward, some cute girls in the audience - with their 'pasties for peace' blaring... talked to me about being in the show... I mean this is tough work, but someone's gotta do it !!
