I have a decision to make... Do I spend the money to go to culinary school knowing full well that I don't want a career as a chef? I simply want the knowledge and skills that go along with it. Kind of the same reason I'd like to learn massage therapy. Not because I want to be a masseuse, I just want to know how to do it. I think these skills would come in handy someday. Photography is something else I'd like to learn as well.

I've been removed from college for about a year now and I already feel like my brain is going stagnant. As much as I hated some of the classes, papers, and tests, I really enjoyed the influx of knowledge everyday. I feel like I need to be back in that environment. I don't really want to pursue a Master's degree in Psychology or for that matter in anything. I want to acquire other skills that won't necessarily be helpful in a career sense but, would certainly be fulfilling personally.

In the meantime though I'll continue to go to concerts and whatnot with Saveme. The Big D show the other night was really good. It was a younger crowd (high school kids) but, it certainly didn't take anything away from the show. And I'm all for cute girls wearing some skimpy outfits but, some of the girls I saw the other night... All I could think of was, did you seriously walk out of your house like that?

cassy:
i'm glad you decided against it you're going to be happier in the long run. if you want to be a chef the best advice i can offer you is to get in under a great chef, and work your ass off, thats what most of the guys who are exec's that i know have done, and it worked for them, it's just a tireless job, and it's thankless too, i dunno, i hope to uers my culinary degree for something else in life, like having a b&b in Maui someday biggrin

if you want to move to SF that bad, youd better start saving, and plan on having roommates, because its crazy expensive, why SF anyway?...I hate driving through there, I always get lost. biggrin
