I’m 1 week and 1 day post kidney transplant. I was discharged after only 3.5 days because I was doing so great in my recovery !
My blood levels are good, my pain is practically gone (unless I laugh / sneeze / cough / or my cat steps on it) I’m starting to sleep better thru the night, and my incision is healing nicely!
My immune system is practically nonexistent right now so I have to be extra diligent about hand washing, and wearing a mask when I go out in public but after 4-6 months it will have built back up to where I won’t need a mask :D
My sister was my paired donor in our chain of 6 people, and she is doing great too. Everything is right as it should be and I couldn’t be happier !
Very little diet restrictions, no more dialysis. I’m a very happy , newly transplanted, girl 💚💚
