My Thanksgiving was fun. I went to eat Pho with a girl I met off Craigslist (the interweb seems to be the only place I've been successful in meeting people I can deal with, at least in OC). She was pretty, funny and fun. So dinner was good.
Then we went across the street to an asian market. I found fruit I didn't recognize. I scored some Winter Melon, Oro Blanco, and a Durian. I tried the Winter Melon when I got home. Its like a cantalope that tastes like a cucumber. It's not really fun. When I went to work the next day I brought the durian. That was fun.

The durian has such a penetrating, potent smell. To me the smell wasn't bad, but extremely strong. To others it smelled like rotting garbage. I enjoyed this very much because I could tolerate it and everyone was furious with me. It tasted like a very rich almond custard. Good fun.
I'm in colorado now. I'll be here for a week. It's cold and snowing. I'm stuffed with turkey. Booze sounds lovely.
