I'm in L.A now. Everything has gone pretty smoothly. The flight was fine. I didn't have anyone next to me so I had more leg room. The car is pretty nice and zippy. The hotel is better than I expected. Work is going well. So things are ooookay! Oh, and its the weekend! w00t!! I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do. I thought the I-am-8-bit gallery was going on but I guess thats next week. Alcohol doesn't work very much at all here because of the altitude. It seems to make drinking less fun. I don't want to get drunk but I would like a buzz. It takes so much booze for that to happen that its not even worth it. I get the horrible headache in the morning that I would normally get from that amount. Still, I'm pretty sick of seeing the same people I work with all the time. I work with really great people but its like living with them. So, maybe I'll go to some bar. I read in the Steampunk group that there was a theme club that had a steampunk feel to it. I looked up their webpage and saw pictures of lots of goth kids with a few kids in victorian style suits. That type of folk tends to be unique. I usually like them. Just as long as they don't get pretentious from all that. I also saw a russian theme bar. I might check that out. 
I was just blown away by the great artwork. With the crowd it was hard to take all of it in. I think I am going back next week to take another look at everything. If you are still in town Thursday SGLA meets at the White Horse for drinks and socializing.
