b) What you call "sketchy", I call saving myself hundreds in hiring a professional carpet cleaner.
c) I truly appreciate your sympathy and kind words. I knew the day would happen some time but this was so random and hasty and painful. I tried my best to make his final days the best of his life. Yet I still feel like I failed him.
