Advise Please
So here is the situation. I have to fire 6 attorneys who work for us. I'm the firing partner these days, and the decisions were made so that's that. I was goibg to wait until January to do it so I didn't ruin anyone's holidays. However I heard one of them talking to her husband on the phone about some thing they're buying their kids for X-Mas and she said, "well I get my bonus in january and that will cover it." Now I can't decide if i should do it now and let them know where they stand.
Aside from the telling me I'm a bit of a bastard for firing them, what do you think? Would you rather be in blissful ignorance until January 2nd, or know ASAP.
