itburns

So I know it's been a while since I had a real update, but there's been a lot going on in Itburns Land. I was on trial in Newport News, VA for two weeks, I've had some business and house B.S. to deal with and the usual quota of personal stuff. Details below.

Newport News, VA
I went down for a trial 3 weeks ago, and I was behind the 8 Ball from the start. I'll spare the details but suffice it to say that I was on track to lose a TON of $$$. So I started to bait the plaintiff's counsel, and he finally lost his temper in front of the jury and said some things you just can't say. I asked for and recieved a mistrial. In the end it's his fult for taking the bait, but it was bush league on my part. So I'm conflicted about that.

The Bar
As some of you know I am part owner of a bar. We moved locations and were supposed to reopen in December or January. This hasn't happened, and it hasn't happened because one of the partners is trying to screw the rest of us. We recently discovered this and came down on him like a ton of bricks. We'll see how it turns out, but it sucks to deal with it.

The House
I'm under contract to buy a house. The sellers are having a problem getting a mortgage for a new place and want to kill the deal. They would owe me my down payment plus a 50% penalty if they kill the deal BUT I like the house and don't want to look for another one. I resigned a lease on my apartment and will see what happens. So this sucks to deal with too.

Personal
I got really messed up and ending up partying with a woman I shouldn't have three weeks ago. She and I left where she was working during her shift and were MIA until the middle of the next day. By doing this I let down the two people she works for, two people who mean a hell of a lot to me. It was stupid and totally not worth it. One has forgiven me and the other won't talk to me. Hopefully it all works out. It's just a drag to still be doing stupid ass shit, but I guess that's life.

So if you put these things together and you get a grumpy Itburns. But I read some where that tomorrow is another day so there's that. Do people still do the Sunday night Quenchers and/or Monday night Delilahs thing anymore?
