If I have to read another blog about how "turkeys are sensitive, social animals" I'm going to go off my fucking nut. Don't believe the hype, it's all just pseudo-science cooked up by PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk and regurgitated by all of their apologists. There's no data to back it up. Consider the source. You see someone who normally can't string together a coherent sentence or spell worth a shit and suddenly they post a point-by-point, articulate, thought provoking treatise. I call that "pulling a Palin" .

Truth is turkeys are dumb, nasty animals. Now I'm not suggesting it's okay to eat dumb animals or mean ones and spare cute ones. Honestly I can't think of a single reason why we even eat the things. I mean look at them. They're markedly less appetizing looking than vultures. How it ever occurred to someone to eat one is a wonder to me. But the fact is that all this wishy washy sentiment about these animals is all hokum. It's just presented in a sober, straightforward style using actual technical terms to affect an air of authenticity.
