Another wacky evening. Not sure exactly what was so weird about it. I think the whole day was just strange. Before work, I remembered that I had to get there early because there was a fucking "Horse and Carriage" parade to celebrate Pioneer Day that was scheduled to block off the streets surrounding the restaurant. This makes no sense to me, because Pioneer Day isn't even until the 24th! So I got to work at 5:30, and it was so slow I got cut like an hour later. No kidding. So I ended up driving 5 girls to the party in one car (it was kind of a tight squeeze). It took longer than we thought to get down there, and we missed Digga and Steezo's set. There went a good portion of what would have made the night worthwhile... although Dj Monk's set was certainly interesting (watching a bunch of ravers bounce to Eminem is always baffling to me). The cops apparently think there were 2,500 people there, although the number is a bit more like 1,600. The cops also apparently think many rapes went on as well, so what the fuck do they know?
It was too late to do anything recreational, since I was the driver, so I just sipped on a few Sparks and called it good. It was too hot to even dance for very long, most of the night. At one point, some chick was laid out on a nearby rock and some guy was giving her head, like right out in the open. I was happy to have heard about it after the fact and not having had to see it. Crazy bastards running rampant! SO MANY PEOPLE!
Thank god the dust wasn't flying like it did last year. Overall, had a reasonably good time, didn't get pulled over. Crashed til 4pm... this summer is definitely shaping up to be one of the most exhausting ones yet!
